Nice pic of juvie on the nest at the mo:
Another great blog from Ken:

Popped in to MB this afternoon, and as Alan reported earlier, it's suddenly very quiet there. Mrs 5R was the only ever-present osprey and all three juves were absent throughout (just caught two of them departing as I walked to the hides).
Thanks Sandy. Not a lot of action this morning but a couple of pics:
"Only just caught up as I was at Manton Bay this morning where there was only one adult and one juvenile around. However I did see the adult having a bath, only the second time I have seen this."
Quote from Alan on DU thread.
Alan: I'm really surprised that you've only seen the adults bathing at MB a couple of times - I've seen it more times than I care to remember! We both visit often during the season and I've always assumed that we observe pretty much the same thing. The only reason I can think of why there's such a disparity between us is that you tend to visit in the morning and I tend to go afternoons and evening (must be bathtime). As an example, when I got there today 5R flew in to the bay and dropped straight on to the far shore for a good wash.
Just wanted to know whether you've seen much of the juves bathing?
Sandy : Not seen the juves bathing that I can remember and you are right that I am always there in the morning. I have never been late in the day so maybe that is why I have not seen much bathing going on.
Lovely film of Mrs 5R here:

3 juves on the nest. Not seen that for a while:
Getting mighty crowded:
Lovely captures Alan. They obviously waited for a time when they knew that neither yourself or Sandy were on the site.
LOL Brenda! Don't worry, they'll be around for some time yet. I'm sure both Alan and me will get plenty of opportunities to see them before they all depart.
