Cont from Manton Bay - March 2025
The Season so far: Blue 33(11) returned @ 16:12 on 14 March and Maya @ 09:52 on 17 March. The pair quickly re-united their partnership and have been busy building their nest in preparation for their eggs.

Maya is due to lay her first egg anytime from now so it's going to be a very eggciting start to April.
Scene just now -
No doubt Maya and 33 will be close by.
06:00 33 on the nest and joined by Maya
06:05 Day cam - 33 has flown
07:35 Maya remains on the nest
07:36 33 arrives with breakfish
Off she goes with it
12.14 there might have been an intruder in the bay. Maya was up on the cam perch. 33 arrived and flapped a bit of wing. Maya dropped down and together they mantled but more in a warning way, rather than aggressive. All very brief, but done in unison. Maya lay down, 33 kept watch.A chilly day, no doubt, with a stiff easterly wind, blue sky and sunshine.

Evening ALL -
Maya is certainly keeping us and 33 waiting. But all in her own good time.
I wont be about at all tomorrow so I expect it will all probably happen in my absence but it will be a nice surprise to come home to.
SYL
Is it ?
Evening ALL

I resumed downloading today because of KAREN's enforced absence - here's the video - starting with Blue33 being a presumptive nuisance and cramping Maya's egg-laying style
First sighting of the egg was 17:42 - only partial and difficult, I tried but failed to show it:

Oh great, egg number 1, well done Maya
