HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON
The moon turns full at 6:54 a.m. on 14 March in the UK. At 5:24 p.m. on 14 March in Adelaide, Australia. And at 11:54 p.m. on 13 March in California.
There is a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE on the night of March 13-14. It's visible across the US, but I don't think it will be visible in the UK or Australia. However, many websites will stream the full eclipse, and it will be a beautiful "Blood Moon" (red in colour).
Speaking of the colour red, I saw my old friend R.T. Hawk yesterday. He was looking stunning in the sunshine with his deep red feathers.
I hope everyone has the best week possible. Love and hugs to all!
Nope. I'm wrong. There is a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse visible in Adelaide on the evening of 14 March.

And there is a Partial Lunar Eclipse in the UK in the wee hours of the morning on 14 March.

ANNETTE: Here are your times for the total lunar eclipse.

Diane: Thank you. Not sure I'll be up that late for the complete eclipse but who knows....
Our clocks go forward an hour tonight.
Take care everyone.
DIANE - Thank you. The eclipse will be about sunset here. I'm not sure if the eclipse website has considered that we still have Daylight Saving.
ANNETTE - Our clocks don't revert to "normal" time until 2 April.
AQ: I wish ours didn't jump forward so early. That said, we voted to get rid of daylight savings some years back but it's still here (maybe the Orange Menace will do it!) :-)
Thank you Diane once more. If I am up in the wee small hours of the 14th, I will have a look for the partial eclipse. It’s a beautiful day here again. I hope it lasts.
It was my sister’s birthday in the week and she has asked all the family to meet later for a light lunch and walk round Ness Gardens. It should be lovely. I gather lots of the spring flowers are out there. I suspect we might spend a lot of time at the children’s playground though!!!!
Thank you DIANE and thanks to everyone for their news.
Enjoy your day, RUSTY!
I had a small but potentially expensive drama here - My washing machine refused to be programmed. All I got was ' option not possible' displayed. Anyhow, all seems OK this morning. I really don't want to part with any money just now - the bill for chopping and shaping and disposing of some trees etc in my back garden is sure to be hefty. My youngest son in law has been looking after the garden as best as he can, given that he works offshore but the legacy of my late OH s enthusiasm for filling every available space with a shrub or a tree is becoming all too evident!
Many thanks Diane , I am always amazed at your knowledge about these occurrences . Good to read about your Hawk displaying his beautiful red tail in the sunshine. I had a visit from my great spotted woodpecker yesterday AND today ! I just love watching his dipping flight as he takes off from my bird feeders .
Glad things are ok now HEATHER.
