HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope you all have the best week possible!
The coyotes on my patch have ended their breeding time howling, only to be replaced by the mating calls of the bobcat. She lives deep in the flood plain of the creek that flows along the boundary of my land. This time of year, female bobcats emit piercing, desperate calls that sound like the screaming of a weeping, angry woman. I was lonely on Valentine's Day on Friday, as well as tense from following the U.S. news. I was tempted to climb a tree and scream in solidarity with that bobcat. LOL
Love and hugs to you all.

bjane: It was so nice to see your post to OG at the end of last week's thread. I hope you are well.
Diane, Thank you, and your bobcats!! Keep on going, it can't be winter forever.
bjane, good to hear from you. I hope all is well with you and your cats.
Rosy, I'm sorry to hear that your husband is still not too well. I love all the snowdrops too, and around here there are several places where strangers have planted daffs along the grass verges and it's so joyful.
Ditto from me, ROSY. A hard time for you. Please don't worry about seeming negative, we support each other in bad times and laugh together in the good times x
Hope it went well, RUSTY ! My French is most definitely of the schoolgirl variety - I'm better at reading it than speaking it.
Rosy: I second Heather's comment - life gets bumpy and you know what they say about a trouble shared....
Rusty: So, are you planning a trip to France anytime soon? You and your fellow Francophiles might get group discount rates. :-)
The French seemed to go well. Solid talking for 2 hours and lots of laughs. So much so that there was no time to do the grammar.
Annette - we won’t be having a group trip to France but there is a possibility that I might get to Paris in the autumn. Things are at a very early stage in the planning just now but my fingers are crossed.
I went to Hever Castle this afternoon with a friend. We were very disappointed with the snowdrops - they claim 130,000 bulbs have been planted in the past few years, but we saw very few. In fact I saw more in a small garden at the back of Rochester Cathedral on Saturday than in all the grounds at Hever, and we covered almost everywhere. So Rusty's lovely picture has given me more joy of snowdrops than I got from Hever ... snowdrops were my sister's birthday flower and they are such a lovely harbinger of spring.
Pat - sorry you were disappointed with the snowdrops at Hever. May I report from North Wales that a strange bright orb has appeared in the sky this morning. Yes. THE SUN HAS COME OUT!!!!! Hooray. Nearly 2 weeks of anti cyclonic gloom seems to be over! However, to put a dampener on the situation, I have a hygienists appointment this morning!!! Not my favourite thing!!!
RUSTY We are going to Paris in July, it is a 3 night add on after our river cruise. counting down the days now.
RUSTY - So that is where the sun went....
DIBNLIB - lucky you! I've only been in Paris once and that was years ago.
Morning all:
PatO; Interesting about the snowdrops at Hever - it's odd how plants do their own thing regardless of our efforts. Wonder if it was an unusually wet/cold/warm winter or late/early whatever....
Re Paris, my favorite city. Sigh....
