HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I have just been reading about the danger and the impacts of Storm Eowyn in the UK. My thoughts are with all of you, including our lurkers. I hope you are all safe, secure, and warm. I also hope you have all the important necessities, including adequate water, food, shelter, heat, and electricity.
I noticed that OG and EE haven't posted yet, and I think the storm was predicted to be extremely bad in their region. I'm sending good energy their way tonight.
The new moon is 29 February, next week. I hope it brings kinder weather and better conditions for all of us.
Love, hugs, and protection to each of you.
Diane: Thank you. How is your little house holding up this winter?
Thank you DIANE for a new week. I hope you are warm & cosy. Did you mean new moon is January 29?
I hope all are safe are safe from Storm Eowyn. I had to Google the pronunciation as our newsreaders have avoided saying the word!
I am beginning to melt. As soon as I finish typing I shall leave my rather warm computer room to loll on lounge with a book and air con.
Thank you Diane. I hope you survived that extreme cold and that you were able to keep warm. AQ - I hope you manage to keep cool. Amazing such a contrast in all our temperatures.
Here is is a typical British winters day. Grey, a bit damp and, currently still. I gather more windy weather is on the way! My friend hasn’t contacted me so I don’t think we will be doing our usual Sunday walk. My poorly friend has been transferred to the stroke rehab hospital. My sister reported yesterday that she thought there was a bit more recognition and understanding. So difficult when there is no communication. My niece who is my friend’s god daughter also went yesterday. My friend begins her first therapy session on Monday. In the meantime a whole load of French homework arrived yesterday! The topic is sleep!!!! We have videos to watch, questions to answer and articles to read. I have a week to do it and will probably begin tomorrow. Today is a cooking and freezing day - a very nice chicken casserole with honey, orange and white wine vinegar!!!
LINDY So sorry to hear that Sue has lost her 4 legged friend. My friend who I met up with about 10 days ago returned home to find that her Scandinavian Hound has had a fit so they were off to the vet to have him put to sleep. He was nearly 14.
Thank you DIANE for your concern and thoughts toward us all in regard to storm Eowyn. Like you I trust we have all thought about the 'necessities' and hope not many of us need to travel for those but my concerns are for the workers who have to travel and like you will be sending positive energy their way and sending out those angles that minister for me to minister to those who need them.
Thank you, Diane. Keep warm, yourself.
It's been technically a couple of degrees here, but in reality it's very cold indeed, in a chill wind which takes your breath away unless you're well wrapped up. Brr! We went to visit Sue and cheer her up as she had lost her doggy friend. She had rearranged the furniture in her tiny sitting room, as she does quite often. Her daughter-in-law law arrived and she is a lovely person: very open and kind, and thankfully, very sensible.
Just had a long chat to our Youngest, and he is going to a school meeting this week with his Eldest, Tomasz, as he has to decide on his options soon for his future GCSEs !! (Exams) Shocking that he's suddenly old enough (14) to need to consider the future.
Lindy - If I could like this twice, I would!!!
Lindy - I am totally in agreement with this poster!
Sunny today. Popped to town. Now doing my French homework. It’s about sleep!!! Rather ironic when I don’t get much, I have done the listening exercise which was on You Tube. I now have quite a bit of reading to do this afternoon. Also, it is noisy here because next doors are having a new path and patio. (They did tell me) At the moment the workmen are merrily ripping up the old concrete slabs and breaking them up with what sounds like a sledgehammer!!!
Thank you DIANE
Not easy to concentrate, with noise going on, RUSTY !
LINDY - poor Sue, she has had several upsets lately, if I remember correctly. She is very lucky to have you and your OH. Speaking of him - perhaps now that he has started his chemo, he won't be as apprehensive ?
LYNETTE- as I'm sure you know, the weight loss injections do their work by reducing appetite. There have been questions asked about them - ie, when one stops them, what happens?. I heard( on the radio ) that there is a danger that people suffering from anorexia may try and obtain them online. Not good...
Sending regards to everyone
