White-tailed Eagles, Cairngorms
If the eagles adopt this nest and breed, "we" may wish to give them their own thread and will have to decide where to put it.
The cam is solar-powered, there's been no nightcam so far. The timeline is not up to WildlifeWindows' usual standard, it's often unreadable :((( The WTE appeared @ 16:37.
A sign of WTE life behind the nest (after the mystery pair flies by):
.
EDIT 21 January
The breeding season for white-tailed eagles in Scotland is from 01 February to 31 August.

Brilliant video Scylla, thanks. The jay’s persistence paid off the next day! Lovely seeing Frankie arrive at the end and their reunion! I also saw the birds use the top of the distant pine earlier today. Glad it’s within the screen visual.
Morning all
What a lovely nest ..theanks Glider and of course , the indefatigable Scylla.
He brought another Fish this morning and after a while she took it to as Scylla says " the favourite perching tree.
Good morning Kate, yes it is a lovely nest, thanks for the catchup this morning. Good to see things ticking along nicely.

I'd have had to retype that several times to get the syllables in the right order
It is a lovely nest to follow Kate, another one to keep up with!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Morning all Loch Doon looking good. mating at 05.54
Morning Kate, this should be one of the earlier nests with eggs then after Manton.️ The pair reunited on 24 March, their earliest date by a week. Another experienced couple, Angel arrived in 2015 and bred for 3 years with Cullen. Frankie then became her partner in 2018. (Info from UK Osprey Information)
Thanks Glider
I hope this is NOT a fire across the Loch Doon.
