Aran & Elen
After a slightly dodgy start, when Elen went AWOL when she found that Aran hadn't arrived, and he therefore had a brief flirtation with Blue372 (of whom much more in the Llyn Brenig thread), this couple's second season together is turning out to be a great success. Elen has survived the attentions of an aggressive Tawny Owl and has produced 3 eggs, one more than last season, and Aran has continued to be the great provider we are accustomed to.

After a very wet night, Aran brought a good breakfish which Elen had to rescue from the chicks:
Posted on BGGW Fb yesterday morning...the chicks were ringed!
Thank you, SANDRA !!! I do wish they'd ring them in age order
I tried to do a video of the chicks showing their rings - but Cam2 keeps freezing and Cam1 doesn't have the right views.
Here's a token, 6M7 trying to eat fishtail and showing ring number:

Teatime - I wonder what fish that is?
Suppertime - Elen had to rescue it from one of the chicks:

Both cams have gone down.
Cams are back up - intruder chipping has been going on.

We couldn't get a better view of Aran's headless breakfish, it was taken out of the bottom of the picture - but I think they all ate well:
The little one was well protected by sibs
