Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
Me too CLARE. I remember her with the early morning caper watch back in 2010 when I had three overnight stints in the Forward Hide. She used the room next door. Sadly I saw no capers! I don't really understand why they would shut the shop having included the area in the new VC building so recently.
The snow covered nest reminded me of EJ in her 'donut'! Thank you Scylla.

No birdies noticed since an unsnappable GSW several days (a week?) ago.

A few snow showers but none lasted more than a few minutes:

Frosty for much of the day:

27 January
A Goshawk (female?) flew in and stayed, not very active apart from watchful eyes, for nearly 45 minutes:
Lovely capture, they were nesting in the area, we always had that fear when the chicks were little. Talking of chicks, only 50ish days until we may see the start of our Ospreys return!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Great find Scylla, wonderfully clear close ups of a lovely raptor, thank you

We were very lucky that HQ eventually managed to get someone there to zoom in - prior to that, my crop was not nearly as clear

IIRC, during the first season of the new cam we saw a Goshawk on the dead treetop in the top left corner - and of course there's a Goshawk nest not a million miles away. However, I would be happy never to see one or evidence of one ever again in my whole life!
WendyBartter I was surprised to see the zoom and am as confoosed as wot you are
..
The nest has been (apparently) devoid of life since the snows - but yesterday a pair of Great Tits visited and darted around for several minutes - too small for snaps, until one of them flew up-and-away - it's not on the perch here, it's in the air:
