Good Morning Everyone
Just had a Google as your question about if birds see colours is interesting Scylla! Apparently they can and better than humans as we have 3 colour cones and birds have 4- an ultra violet cone! White is a colour they avoid as it signifies danger! Goodness knows why they come to the UK then as they must hate the snow..... As do we perhaps too!
All looking calmer on the nest today!
What a headless whopper from B33 at 20:06
Nest cam view
Off Maya flew with her supper!
Well done, B33

Thank you Sandra. They are living up to their reputation!!
How interesting LAM. I know they have no sense of smell, but that that they have superb eye sight. But really it is fairly obvious their eye sight is excellent. They can see an osprey coming from a long way off the nest, be they friend or foe. But I didn't know about colour. I wonder why that is important.

Good evening All
Finally a fish for Maya and not a gold fish!
Wonder Sheila if colour is perhaps what they associate with danger?

Gosh, B33 delivered that fish at almost the exact time as yesterday! Thanks LAM
When I read some of the chat this afternoon, it was suggested that the 'gold fish' were Koi?

I thought I'd already responded to this :-? Thank you, LAM

yes that is so. Blue tits know a female from a male by the UV of the cap I am reliably informed. Thanks LAM
Morning All
He must have a built in alarm clock! Or just loud fish calling from Maya Sandra! Lol! Thank you for confirming the fish might be Koi!
Think 33 will revert back now to his usual menu as these were his daily specials when he couldn't see in the silt disturbed water lol!
Looking nicer this morning with sun on the water..... Sounds like the next song title for Deep Purple a softer version perhaps :-)
Oh dear wish hadn't thought of that! can't get that rift out of my head now oh know.... That's another tune going round!
