HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY EQUINOX!
The spring equinox is Tuesday night/Wednesday morning in the UK and US. It's the autumn equinox for AQ. (Hope it cools off soon, AQ.)
I am glad to see the end of winter here. I was sitting on my front step in the afternoon sunshine yesterday, and I heard a loud squawk. I couldn't locate the bird, but I'm hoping it's the Great Blue Heron returning to this creek.
Most of the birds that migrate have now arrived.
All: Make sure you check back to last week's thread. LINDY and others left some evening posts before I started this new thread. Hope you're feeling better, LINDY.
I hope everyone has a good week.
OG writing Wednesday. Been rather ill -but still here.
OG - I am very sorry to read that you have not been well. I do hope you are feeling better soon.
I am still rushing around but will try to write later.
Dau visited today, bringing own lunch, then took OH out for a hot chocolate overlooking the sea. I made a quick dash to library for supplies.
Suddenly it is cold. After overnight temps of 30 C last week, now it is down to 11 C. So much better for sleeping
Glad the weather has cooled down for you AQ and that you were able to get out whilst your daughter was entertaining your OH.
I am still rushing around. I am about to set off with a couple of friends to visit the National Arboretum. We are staying overnight so that we can visit at our leisure. It only takes a couple of hours to get there from here. When I get back, it is the Lady Captains Drive In on Saturday. Our first big competition of the season. What is the forecast? Wild, wet and windy!!! Oh joy!!!
Hi all, popping in to see how things are going with you all. Note that OG had a rough time re extractions, do she is feeling a little better now. Must admit I'm not keen on the layout of this new site as I don't seem to be able to scroll back to see what's been happening. Do hope that you are all ok. Been signed off today by the oxygen team as I won;t need extra oxygen as the cpap machine is doing its job. Only 2 weeks to go and the new kitchen will be underway, just waiting for it to be delivered next week.
See that the cam is live at LG after reading it may be April before it is up and running again. Hope all is well with you all.

The weather here has been remarkable: not too hot in the last few days, but very pleasant and sunny (sorry, AQ!) Now we are beginning to take it for granted, we've been told that this weekend will bring storms, so serves us right, I suppose. Will have to wait and see.
Enjoyed a very good meal out last night when I opted for a chicken dish, but my OH went overboard for a huge leg of lamb type roast which arrived on a massive hot platter and took him a very long time to demolish!!
Hope that poor OG has recovered from her illness after the nasty extractions. No fun at all, and even worse when you feel ill afterwards.
AQ - Good of your daughter to think of bringing her own lunch, and giving you chance to dash out to the library. Glad it's a bit cooler at last.
Lynette, How nice to look forward to a new kitchen. Glad your oxygen is sorted.
Clever use of stairs!!
Lindy - I think that's brilliant! Unfortunately I can't do it because I live in a bungalow ...
