Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

Here was the family last year
I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

Off she goes with her fish.
08.28. 022 nest cupping.
It’s looking very cosy.

CJ7 didn't take this fish offering until later, after the next incident:
Do I remember correctly that last season they had a lot of black plastic on the nest?
06 April
Windy morning! Like nearly everywhere!
Hi Scylla, yes there was a lot of black plastic brought to the nest last year.
There was none on the nest this morning but 022 brought in a fresh piece at 11.33
11.34 He then found a small discarded fish in the soft bedding
He flew off with the fish and took the black plastic with him.
It doesn’t look like any more has been brought back today.
19.22 Here is CJ7 with a nice headless fish 022 delivered.
Who needs a "bit" of plastic when you have Blue 022 about
