Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

PF4 headed down to a branch on the limb at 9:43 - she had been fish calling
PF4 was there until 10:00 when she flew off to the birch, she had still been fish calling
Still there at present, 10:12

So, Laddie wasn't around yesterday...!
LotL Fb
10:47 PF4 came screeching back to the nest
Flapping and shouting, Laddie around?
11:00 Still calling occasionally but now looking in this direction
11:21 Still calling
11:27 I've just heard PF5 calling in the distance - PF4 shouted again
I wonder if PF5 had moved his position, if indeed he was off to our right? PF4 became very animated
She looked in this direction
She then quietened down
At 11:33ish, PF4 watched something...
...then made a series of short calls, similar to human intruder alarm ones
Nothing came of it and she repositioned herself to the back of the nest
Then up to the perch
PF4 went into defence mode at 11:38
More shouting
She lowered herself slightly, PF5 could be heard calling in the distance. There were a couple of chipping calls too
PF4 didn't rise from her position until 11:50 when she started shouting again
She became quiet
PF4 did go up to the perch again but has since come back onto the nest.
12:02 More shouting
