Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

Morning All,
PF4 has been on and off the nest a few times since arriving at around 4:45
One of those times was at 6:48. While on the perch, she shouted and flew off to the left, out of cam view
It wasn't long before a chase was seen over in the birch area - her and PF5 no doubt
9:23 What a dreary, wet start to the day

I so appreciate more indepth information in regard to this situation Sandra , I am very upset about it all. But hearts heal . I just hope the youngsters are fed sufficiently well to develop properly and be strong and robust for migrations - I am so remembering Deshar who didn't develop as he should and perished out in the Atlantic.
Sandra P said:See previous page for what was, in my opinion, an epic battle for the nest between PF4 and PF5
SANDRA's "epic" coverage is on page 45.
I'm back, and my first task is to finish the video for the above, but the "Courtesy of..." is missing from the beginning - WindowsMovieMaker sometimes doesn't like it if you add text with a different program and slot it in
I haven't done any stills or slomos, and who knows how accurate this is? - but what you see did happen - just maybe not in the same order
IMAGICAT
Scylla, I don't know what to say.....you are a marvel for putting that video all together - absolutely superb!
It was great to actually watch your video in 'real time', I'd spent most of the evening capturing the pics while the LS was on 0.25 - even then, PF5's divebombs were a blur such was the speed of his 'attacks'.
Bless you and welcome back!
What a perverse girl. No need for it.

?????
Edit: PF4's only protecting the place where fish is likely to be delivered.
14:30 I assume this is PF4 on NC0's diving branch of the birch. After leaving the nest perch at 14:11, she had headed off around the birch corner
The cam is slightly zoomed in so all of the birch cannot be seen
It was indeed PF4. She landed back on the nest at 14:50 - and very vocal she was too!
No fish has been delivered. She's on the perch being very quiet at present, 15:17
