Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

21:58 PF4 and PF5 (front) still alone on the nest. NC0 not on the birch
22:12 NC0 hadn't been on the birch for very long before another successful dive!
She gave herself a good shake

NC0 left the nest again at 22:17 and headed straight to the birch!
22:35 She's still there
Will NC0 catch her 4th fish of the day?
No she hasn't. Back to the nest perch at 22:42
22:45
22:47 NC0 began fish calling
Onto the nest to continue. Laddie around?
23:01 No visit from Laddie. Time for the family to sleep off their 7 meals today, I think
Morning All,
4:55 NC0 brought the minutest fish to the nest after a dive from the birch
From her gestures, PF4 took and swallowed it
No more fish has been brought to the nest. Scene at present, 7:30
An early start at work for me today. BFN
On scroll back, I can't find anymore fish deliveries, no visits from Laddie either
Scene at 12:54 - the wind has picked up again
BFN
A tiny fish was delivered by Laddie at 15:51- chicks were alone on the nest, NC0 was not on the birch or on the cam post (I'm sure she would have shouted/ flapped down to the nest if she had been)
PF5 was the first to notice Laddie incoming and began to call prior to him coming into cam view
PF5 attempted to take the tiddler
PF4 was quick to get to the fish
In PF4's beak here
After breaking pieces off, PF4 swallowed the remainder of the fish at 15:56
NC0 back to the nest at 16:28, empty taloned
PF5 was food begging
