  • 2 video's from yesterday.
One is of 33 and Maya chasing and divebombing a gull..

And the other of a few spats on the nest.. brilliant by 3H4 telling his sister it's his fish now..
And after 3H5 had a short struggle with Maya.. she was all to keen being fed (while there was a nice fish in her talons)

  • Morning all.
    2 vids from yesterday..

One where 3H5 forgot to read the windy parts in the Osprey 101 manual and takes a tumble when she goes to the fish.

And later a very sweet moment where 3H4 gives his sister 3H3 a bit of fish, or so it seems

  • All vids and pics also at https://ospreycam.net/mantonbay/news/16-july-2023-big-small-tiny-fish-and-stormy-weather

First a big fish in the morning. Taken by 3H4 and holding on to it, even when 3H3 tries to take it away.

An intruder on the nest:A female osprey from one of the off-site nests (HJ8) decided to drop onto the nest at Manton Bay, Maya was not impressed!

Then 33 brought the biggest fish yet!! (kidding)
But even though it was tiny.. Maya offered 3H4 a share.. what a mum!

Then there was a gull on the nest.. think they didn't learn the lesson 2 days ago

The kids were having fun in the storm together

And 33 brought another fish... this time a tad bigger than this morning's.. 3H3 goes off with it.

  • Morning ALL and thanks for the updates, Bart.
  • Interesting 3H3 taking off with fish - 18 July @ 18:26.

I think this will be the first we've seen a juvie take off with a fish from the nest.

More fishing now for 33 as they practice this skill!
