Following the failure of the irreplaceable MrsG to return this season, Aran was very fortunate to be adopted by Elen, whom Glider had already met at Llyn Brenig - she is a deceptively shy female who has quickly bonded with Aran and all of us.

Oh that’s great news, 3 out of 4 Welsh nests now. What a difference they make I really hope Brenig follows suit!
I don't like to be grudging but I do wish they (and Dyfi) wouldn't be so half-hearted... still, it's better than nothing, when/if we can see it. These live streams are documentaries, not movies!
Did I say that Elen was shy? Well, she's proactive enough here, but I can't really see what she was chasing - the corvid/s seemed to come afterwards, was there an Osprey-like bird involved at first?
Aran was unmoved.
I haven't been following Elen and Aran nearly closely enough, so I don't know if she regularly takes a nighttime break on the perch like she did tonight:
Yes, Elen chased an Osprey. obviously Aran didn't want to bother cos he was busy eating his fish and often needs to gulp it down cos Elen in the past has chafed a lot and also, she's not so good at bringing him a portion back.
A corvid also strafed the nest (low)
Many thanks for the vids Scylla

Cam2 seems vastly improved - it seems to me it's more relaxed resolution and can give us a long/wide view showing all of the nest and fences...
I've deleted the file showing exactly what I mean but here's a not-quite-so-encompassing sample:
Aran brought home a small supper fish and left some for Elen:
Yes, video shows a whopper fish so I hope Aran really eats his fill before handing it over . Thanks Scylla

I wonder how many shades of grey there really are? A darn sight more than I can match, that's for sure!
After some more chopping 'n changing Aran may have gone fishing @ 07:38.
a very Victorian portrait. thank you Scylla
