  • Lovely pics, LINDY. Thank you !
I think that AQ s hubby has Parkinson's Disease...
I'm sorry to moan but feeling fed up and a bit sorry for myself. My knees and back are not being friendly and it's not something that is going to improve. I can't get up from a kneeling position and the pain is not good. I have three hard floors, floor mops don't adequately clean the corners and behind radiators.... Anyway, instead of crawling backwards to find the nearest chair to assist, I've had the idea of using the garden stool thingy in the house !
I know I'm not alone ( viz LINDY on the beach !) Just frustrated :-(
  • In reply to Heather B:

You are not alone but I am very sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time. The garden stool thingy is a good idea!
  • HEATHER I use the garden stool thingy to help me get up from kneeling in the garden. It is the only way!!! Hopefully the better weather will help you feel brighter.
  • I keep saying I want one of those garden stools. My OH says "Why? I can do what you can't" but I don't think he understands that I miss being able to do things for myself. I do have a range of long handled tools but think I need to get some more.

By the way, the car had a day & a half at the garage, during which the man decided it was the light fittings set into the side of the boot which were the culprits, letting the rain enter. He has now put liquid sealant around them and wants us to wait until it rains, to decide if its worked. Time will tell!

My OH has made a nice bird table top, to attach to the existing pole. Now it's done, I haven't the heart to say it looks a little too small.

The sun has stayed out but its rather wild, and there are loose things like plastic flowerpots rolling around in the garden.

  • Dibnlib, bjane - I think I've solved the problem - it was just one of those mornings - the mind was strong but the body wouldn't obey my instructions ! Thanks for your support. I'm going to get another garden stool and keep it in the cupboard under the stairs, just for inside work
