Our ospreys may have a job on their hands getting their nest back. A couple of greylag geese chased the gulls off and one settled on the nest, scraping a cup and getting quite comfy nibbling on the grass growing there!
Shouting at the gulls above.
Scraping a nest cup
Feeling peckish
Wrong bird, but a welcome visit cos it's pretty - second snap especially nice, Glider!

Looks like another blustery morning. After being last on the nest yesterday (stayed a couple of hours before leaving around 19.00) the gulls are first there this morning with one arriving at 06.32.
Stays for around 20 minutes then approximately 07.30 the grey lag returns announcing its arrival. Leaves after 12 minutes.
Both gulls return at 07.52, leave for a bit, return again and are currently still here. Joined by a corvid.
That’s 3 different species so far, come home LJ2 and LM6, make it 4.
In the last hour of daylight, the gulls spend their last bit of time on the nest.
Around 18.45 a lone corvid arrives as light is fading.
More corvids arrive on the remaining trees beyond the nest. They used those trees a lot last year. Then all at once they all fly off to roost elsewhere.
Hopefully, LM6 and LJ2 will arrive soon, Glider

Nothing much happening on the nest today. Just 3 visits from the greylag goose totalling about 50 minutes. No sightings of the pair of gulls. No sightings of our resident ospreys. Last year they arrived on 6th and 10th April.
