10.04.59 Little bird visits Nest One

Oh but to have big birds back on this nest.
Richard B
Thanks for the Chaffinch ID, Richard!
I recognised this morning’s little visitor! A Robin.
05.16.53 Nest One - a sweet little singer visits and stays for a few minutes.
05.26.16 Day cam comes on.
07.01.11 Fish number one, half a brown trout.
07.02.15 Dorcha departs with the fish, Louis stays on the nest.
07.02.37 she returns with it and starts eating on the nest.
11.48.41 Fish number two, headless trout.
11.48.32 Louis flies overhead right to left, just a glimpse of wing on camera, before landing and having the fish seized by Dorcha, who departs immediately. He does a bit of housework.
18.13.53 Fish number three, headless trout, finally arrives.
Liz B said "17.28 Louis is on a tree just below and to the right of cam view, out of sight, tucking into a fish, hence Dorcha's squeaks. She doesn't really sound that hungry though 18.11 Louis still tucking in. Hope he leaves her some."
A Robin lands on the perch at 19.30.40, getting comfortable, singing away until he departs at 19.38.45. Then at 19:50:57 another Robin lands on the perch and sings his little heart out until departing 20.10.06.
Probably the same Robin, as nearby birdsong is heard in between visits. Possibly also this morning's Robin?
06.11.03 An early morning breakfast arrives for Dorcha, earliest delivery so far.
12.10.52 Noisy helicopter gets Louis & Dorcha's attention - it's not seen on nest cam, but they certainly see it.
13.06.07 A very low-flying Hercules is caught on both nest cams. I did a split-screen zoom of the event. Chatter David DB says it's a " Hercules MC-130J Commando II from the USAF out of RAF Mildenhall"
