2022 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 13th March; NC0(16) - 23rd March
Looking forward to welcoming back Laddie and NC0 to this wonderful location at Loch of the Lowes. Will Laddie, in his 12th season, beat his earliest arrival date that he achieved last year? Will NC0, her 4th season, be heard before she is seen on cam? Could we see the return of their 2021 offspring, LR1 and LR2? Here's hoping they have safe, spring migrations so as to grace our screens once again.

18:11 The cam zoomed in (yet again!) on NC0 - Oh, don't you just hate it when there is a feather stuck onto your beak?!
Hmm, maybe a preen will get it off...
...Err, nope, that didn't work!
She looked down and shook her head (she had shaken it many times beforehand!)
Yay, success!
A chance to see the eggs

At 18:18, shortly after the cam had panned back to normal view, Laddie paid a 5 minute visit, NC0 was fish calling all the way through it
Laddie came back with the smallest of twigs at 19:18
He placed it on the right side of the nest. NC0 took a break
19:36 NC0 to the nest with a piece of bark
Aww, she picked a small strand of grass up from Laddie's back
She rested on the edge of the nest but then heard crows (sounded like they were in the distance, behind the cam - that's the direction she looked in)
Off she went
NC0 back at 19:50
NC0 shuffling
20:30 NC0 is still calling for fish
NC0 just prior to night cam coming on at 21:33
Laddie did not returned to the nest
Morning All,
Laddie has just finished an incubation duty after taking over from NC0 at 5:39 (there was no fish delivery)
6:59 NC0 returned to the nest with a small clump of grass in her left talons
Hopefully, a fish will be forthcoming
7:38 No fish but a very long, twiggy stick
NC0 off to the birch
7:53 Both in their same positions as I head off to work. BFN
A quick check through footage while on my lunch break. NC0 remained incubating until Laddie brought a fabulous headless fish at midday!
She had a beautiful glided clockwise flight over the Loch...
And headed into the area marked
12:58 Laddie continuing to incubate and I assume NC0 is on the birch

I have no idea where to post this but I have just come across a Balbucam forum post today with photo of LR2 in northern Spain.
I thought somebody may be interested in this news!
LOTL 2021 Osprey LR2 photographed in Spain
Oh that is SUPERB news! Janni, thank you so much for sharing - you're an absolute star!
Translation: 'Fabulous news from Carlos Sainz!!Our male chick at Loch of the Lowes in 2021 was spotted in northern SpainLR2 was recently seen on camera in Ria de Ribadeo o del Eo'
LR2 was seen in in Southern Spain after leaving Lowes to start his migration on 25th August 2021. Such amazing news to know that he is still safe and, by the looks of him, doing very well.

Here are a couple of pics with his sibling, LR1(21), female, and NC0 on the day of their ringing - 22.6.21
