Osprey worries 2023

  • Thanks for the report, Gordon, and best wishes with the coming season. I imagine fingers are crossed (for you and the Ospreys!) by Osprey-loving folk not only in the UK but around the world. I hope you have time to keep us informed during the season.

    Kind regards, Ann

Thank you for the update and other info, GORDON @ Aviemore Ospreys FB

Here's to the safe return of your favourite fisher - sorry but I couldn't resist choosing this somewhat inelegant effort, said by A9Birds to be "BlueAU6 after his belly flop, trying to catch Sea Eagle style":

Obviously I'll have to delete the photo if an objection is rec'd.

I loved reading all about your experiences, Gordon with the Ospreys

In the world today it takes one person like yourself to make a huge difference to one species - you are their saviour.

The Ospreys you talk about are very close to your heart and you post with a lot of enthusiasam about your subject and I love that

Thank you for making me smile so early in the morning and the world of birds is a brighter place to live in with people like yourself.
    .
Seen many Ospreys over the years mainly at Loch Garton and Rutland on the Rutland Belle, and they are fabulous to watch

The planners are on your side now that is the main thing. Love to hear any more stories from you in the future.

    Regards

    Kathy and Dave

  • In reply to Gordon Macleod:

Thank you Gordon for all that you are doing for the Ospreys in your own pond and elsewhere. I am sure they love all the fish that will be easily caught with the stocks that you add to the pond. Very soon we will be seeing our first birds arrive back to their nests and the fun begins all over once again. May they all return safely.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
