So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

IMAGICAT
Dear Sandra - I've just "woken up" to the fact that you haven't posted since then - I do hope all is well with you and yours
I think it's been an active morning on the nest, and currently both juvies are here eating !!!
CORRECTION :(((
One was eating Laddie's modest gift, the other was picking at the nest:
Thanks Scylla!
15:45 LP8 was on the nest at the time of delivery. A small perch from Laddie
While LP8 was eating, LR0's raspy calls could be heard from the cam post

All's well here, Scylla, thank you!
Laddie brought another fish at 15:59. LR0 came onto the nest from the cam post to take it. Laddie flew off with the fish
LR0 did not approach Laddie. Laddie stood looking around
Off with the fish
Sandra P said:Thanks Scylla!
YW! But we're cross-posting, I've edited my last post, not knowing that you'd arrived
Laddie re-delivered the fish at 16:09, LR0 claimed it (as per Scylla's pic above)
LP8 had already finished the 15:45 fish
A cracking fish from Laddie at 18:42.
He approached the nest with the fish being gripped in both sets of talons, then, he can be seen to release his grip from his right ones prior to landing! (on 0.25 speed)
Both dived in
LP8 the victor
19:41 LP8 still with the fish (furthest from cam), LR0 continuing to wait
19:52 Lightning speed reaction from LR0 to successfully take the fish from LP8
There was plenty of fish remaining
20:27 LR0 Keeping an eye on a crow or two while tucking in
