A catch up with the rest of the evening:
Still being bothered by a crow, LR0 headed off to the birch at 21:00. One could already be seen sitting on NC0's diving perch (as seen in previous pictures)
At 21:03, another could be seen flying over the Loch from beyond the birch
It flew low over the Loch, behind the nest, and turned to head back to the birch area where it landed. There was vocalisation.
Almost immediately, LR0 made his way back to the nest, landing on the perch with the remainder of his fish
21:15 While continuing to eat his fish, with a nosy watcher, the one on NC0's diving perch made movements, the other had already moved down to the branch where LR0 had been earlier
And flew off around the birch corner
At 21:19, after finishing his fish, LR0 left the nest
He had a flight around the birch corner
Then landed on the lower branch of the birch
21:45
21:50 The other Osprey left its branch and flew behind the birch
LR0 was still on the low branch as night cam came on.
I wonder if it was NC0 on her diving perch and the other, that flew over the Loch before settling there, was LP8?
Good morning, A headless WHOPPER from Laddie to LR0 at 7:33
LP8 has been seen on the nest and perch this morning (5:50 - 6:21ish).
Today, LP8 and LR0 are 85 and 83 days old respectively
Edit: NC0 has not appeared at the nest
8:15 LR0 enjoying his breakfish
He stopped and looked around...
He made a few calls...
Then left the nest leaving the fish
Maybe he was full after eating late last night?
9:31 LR0 returned and gave excited squeals when he saw the fish was still on the nest
Second helpings!
A crow was loitering, LR0 took his fish off the nest, 9:49
A crow hopped onto the nest
14:35 LP8 flew onto the nest (screeching) a moment before Laddie delivered a fish
LP8 guarding its fish, LR0 was shouting on the cam post
Enjoying its first fish of the day
Up until this point, it had been ENS since LR0 left this morning
LP8 finished the fish and left the nest at 14:48
Feaking its beak
LR0 flapped down from the cam post a couple of minutes after due to a crow popping onto the nest.
After looking for morsels of fish and having a jolly good flap/jump on the nest (as well as calling for fish) he flew off at 14:53
15:28 Laddie to an empty nest with a fish delivery. LR0, flew from beyond the birch corner (screeching) to the cam post then flapped down to claim it
LR0 incoming
He passed the nest
LR0 up to the cam post
Down he came
Laddie released his grip on the fish for LR0 to pick it up
Laddie flew off and headed to the left, out of cam view
LR0, after telling all and sundry that he had a fish, flew off the nest with it
