12.31 Mistle has returned, again with a chirrup. Looking above her. Still no sign yet of Axel.

What a tease.

12.53 she's still there! and I have to go for a couple of hours. BBL

13.19  Intruder looked to be male. Mistle mantled and flapped him off the nest but said nothing.

I think Axel is on the chase.

It's a Redstart

~13.27  Tail end of a fish delivered to her, and now Axel is on the nest calling for it back. However, Mistle has arrived back at the nest, having finished it off, and is giving him an ear bashing.

An excellent capture of the intruder, CC. Possibly 235, but I'm on mobile, and in the car (not the driver!!) it's not easy to see.

Looks like 235 to me too, but can't find that number referenced in the ukosprey website. Tried 23Z and S35 without any joy either.

The UK Osprey site only has published darvics. A lot of ringed birds numbers are only known by the ringers and Roy Dennis.
Roy Dennis will generally provide details of a ringed bird when it is reported to him.

I expect the VC will report it.
