AX6 Axel and his lovely unringed partner Mistle are bonding well, and Mistle has been threatening to lay an egg - we await developments.
It seems that Mistle has been on the perch & nest all night:

Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Fish #3 16.01 A decent size. Mistle grabbed it and flew within seconds. Axel incubated

Further to our feathered intruder at 11.17, I posted on the closed FB page (Loch Garten and Other Ospreys) about our possible conclusion that it was 308, reinforced by the fact she intruded last year. Alison had managed to get a good capture of her, and I have her permission to post it here. Thank you again, Alison.
I think her capture is clearer than this version, but it might be all right.

Just seen her shoogle the eggs a bit
LG are being prompted on Chat about the official name for Mistle.
Mistle is incubating. It is still breezy, although not as bad as yesterday when bits were flying everywhere. It's a dry evening with high clouds. She has been looking around
As I typed that Mistle got up, stretched her wings and takes her time in resuming incubation. Moving sticks, breaking sticky-outy sticks, checking the cup, She is in no hurry, picking at this and that, sort of moving the eggs, but not exactly turning them. Finally she is in the cup, but fidgety.
20.47 she goes to the edge, has a poo and moves back down, backs slightly. Is she eggy?
