3 eggs! Twitter post:
This is what I was engrossed in while MrsG was laying her egg - and I shouldn't have bothered, it's very speculative - yet I do think she must have laid at this time (08:17), it's just that we can't see 3 eggs !!!

I am visiting the Lake District, so took the opportunity to check out the ospreys at Esthwaite (the lake is tiny in comparison to next-door Windermere, very uncommercial and tranquil). I think the local ospreys, known as Ozzie and Olive, have been together a few years now and probably feel very comfortable in the surroundings. Its possible to observe them from the water (having hired an electric boat), and we were fortunate to see Ozzie coming in to relieve Olive, who then went to stretch her wings and bathe her feet. Otherwise, whilst incubating the eggs, and being lower in the nest, she can only be seen on the webcam, that feeds through to the local cafe. So we were lucky and all looks good for these 2. Apologies for the less than sharp photos, but we were some distance from the nest for obvious reasons!
