All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

I saw the old nest very clearly the other day, then yesterday I couldn't pick it out at all!

I was already thinking it must have been a figment of my imagination If I see it again I'll be sure to post a snap, then we can decide what the impostor is!
Regarding the Siskin (thank you, SHEILA) - if RICHARD doesn't congratulate me every time I get an ID one-eighth right, I am crestfallen
This evening the light faded very fast from 19:00 onwards.

BTW, I promise not to labour the point, but looking at the new setup now, I can't help feeling it's unjust that Peter hasn't been able to take advantage of RSPB's investment - oh what struggles he's been thru over the years. And that's the feeling of someone uneducated and with no inside information.

Sorry to post twice (I put this in the competition thread) but let's mark this beautiful (if birdless) day in the official LG March '22 thread:
Beautiful portrait SCYLLA - everything crossed that an Osprey pair take up residence.
A gorgeous sunrise this morning.

Just came here to say "another frosty morning" but my snap is the same as yours, MARY, just a few minutes earlier.
Late afternoon, a Siskin gathered nest material - and threw it away!
Then a Coal Tit:
Then this songster, which I thought looked Meadowlarky but don't know why and can't see it well enough to create search terms. I "did" the sound, so volume up, please

A very brief sighting of a couple of little birds this morning:
