All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Fish. Here and gone

As far as it's possible to see on scroll back, she was on the nest before 4.30. Axel arrived a couple of times, but no fish as far as I can see until 7.27-ish.
You are welcome, WATTLE - and welcome home!

And it was a really good one, and it was whole!
Back to the 17th - afternoon and evening:
.
I don't think we saw MsBTO clearly at all - but must admit I can't see her ring most of the time.
IMAGICAT
Your snaps weren't there when I opened RF, KORKY - never mind, eh?
Fingers and every other digit crossed, are we counting the eggs already?
Unknown said:At last a going concern at LG - Staff must be more thrilled than we are !!!
I feel to happy for them - eagles and ospreys !!! Here's to a fantastic visitor season! But we need to keep our powder dry
The start of the day, may it continue with the same success:
Cirrus, yes I wondered if the one she just brought back to the nest was still the same 7.27am fish - there was more of it than I'd expect after 2 hours eating??
Unknown said:The fish Axel presented to her was whole ! Mistle should have let him have the remains !!!!
She wasn't ready to relinquish it because she'd been brought back to the nest to defend - hope she'll let him have it later - talking of "let him have it", she nearly pecked his head off!
