All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
A good sized headless fish delivered to nest at 07.03 today. Good lad.
Couldn't take a snap was downstairs, sorry.
Sorry, didn't see your post Richard I was following a link and it lead me to a previous page. Anyway, it's extra info to know the fish was headless

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
19 April
What a great morning - no intruders so Mistle is "relaxed" (as far as a female Osprey waiting for a fish can be) she co-operates with Axel's 3 mating attempts (all looked successful), and he dutifully provides breakfish:
(This cam is similar to Poole Harbour's, but not so washed out.)
Mistle did a little bit of nestorising:
Super headless fish, as described by CIRRUS:

What a hero Axel is becoming. Nest builder, constant mating attempts, defender and now fish provider. One at the beginning of the day is all she will need for now. She may yell and scream throughout the day, but she can't possibly be 'hungry'! They are beginning to look like a proper couple at last!
Scylla, you just missed the 'tail downing' on your vid where you cut off! It was 15.49.49 hrs as per the date stamp on my snip.
Axel landed at 10.33, scanned the surrounding area, tidied up the nest, moving twigs back to the rim, checked some of the larger sticks were in place to his liking, and now relaxing
10.52 he is still standing there
