All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
18.00 brought another stick, not a fish!!
Axel has other things on his mind, but she continues to call!

18.05 another stick! and Mistle continues to call, loudly
18.17 more nesting material
She finally left around 9.20pm
SheilaFE said:She's very quiet now. Even if Axel has gone fishing, he will find it difficult with this wind. Bye for now.
He should only need to feed himself, with her having scoffed the whole of that lovely fish.
And thank you for all the updates, SHEILA - I hope I can find the tail going down later.
A couple of episodes from this morning:
I think that Mistle can't settle into co-operative couplehood because, according to her, her nest is not yet secure:
No, there are more glitches in the stream so I'm not looking for tail-downing - have cut out much afternoon/evening but just showing Axwl was a good lad and it looks as tho one mating was successful:

Osprey on the nest as the sun rose. Hopefully it's the female and Axel brings breakfast. He arrived at 5.25, no fish but looked like a successful mating.
