I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

19.31.55 Ringed intruder seen off by Dorcha. Left leg Darvic, looks like 105
Zoomed version of the intruder
Update: Confirmed Blue 105. Dr Tim Mackrill of Roy Dennis Foundation advises that it was hatched in Sutherland 2018, one of three chicks. It migrated to the one of the Canary Islands and was seen there in January 2020. In July 2020 it was spotted at Loch Fleet in NE Scotland, and spotted again in the Canaries in January 2022.
Perhaps Doddie will turn up next now that he’s probably left Shetland!
C1 09.15 Louis visits his old haunts - keeping it as a man-nest for escaping to when the kids come?

Louis visits nest one:
My foster kitten is absolutely fascinated by Dorcha!
Aw love it Geemeff, what is her/his name? What a grand size screen you have there, you will not miss anything!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
He’s called Julio, which suits him as he’s a little hooligan! Just him and his mum needing a home now, the other four kittens have already been adopted. They have a meet & greet tomorrow, fingers crossed it’s a good match.
Oh, and the big screen was my reward for putting up with 8 months of building work last year - got the builders to hang it because if I’d done it, it would have been on the floor by now!
I think mum’s glad they’re weaned and gone..
