2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

She headed off to the birch

Continuation from post above - Unringed female intruder landed! (14:34ish)
Laddie rose from the eggs, alarm called and flew from the nest
Flapping
Intruder incoming almost as soon as Laddie had left
Laddie on approach to chase (top right)
Alarm calls could be heard
NC0 flew in from the birch to protect her eggs
Laddie came back a little while after
patily said:Brilliant captures SANDRA
Thank you, Patily :)
It all happened to quickly, I had to slow the playback speed down to 0.25 to allow me to capture them
SunnyKate2 said:Phew!!! well captured Sandra...
Thanks Kate!
There was another fish delivery at 16:35
Picked up and carried off in her beak
NC0 landing on the birch
Laddie dozing
17:09 NC0 returned. She did some nestorisations then settled back down to incubate.
18:50 A mere morsel of fish delivered by Laddie
Fish piece in her beak
She took it to the birch in her left talons
At 19:13ish, NC0 flew from the birch (where she had been fish calling) and low past the left side of the nest
She arrived back at the nest. Laddie appeared to track her flight behind the cam before she landed
He left the nest...
... with his flight taking him right, over the Loch and out of view
