2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Unringed intruder over the nest at 20:09!
Incoming, top right. NC0 was up and prepared
Great captures Sandra!

Thanks Korky! It all happened very quickly so I had to take them on slo-mo - took an age! lol

Good morning Mary and all, A beautiful capture, thank you!
At 5:25, a minute or two after that pic, the unringed intruder was back. Both were watchful then Laddie flapped
Intruder over the nest
Laddie didn't give chase but he and NC0 were watching something
He then flew from the nest
7:20 NC0 still incubating. I can't see that Laddie has taken over so far this morning
Morning Sandra - that intruder if same one is persistent.
I've found 3 fish deliveries from Laddie to NC0 today:
The first one just before 11:25
The second at around 14:42
She transferred it into her right talons
And off she went
She returned just over an hour later at 15:53ish
16:31 A headless perch was NC0's 3rd fish of the day
NC0 flew off to the birch with it in her beak
16:55 Laddie looking very content
Well done, Laddie!
17:04 Laddie chipping/alarm calling (for around 6 or 7 minutes) while on incubation duty - no threat seen. NC0 remained on the birch
17:23 After aerating the nest cup, Laddie flew from the nest
Eggs alone for less than a minute
Laddie returned
As soon as Laddie settled, NC0 came back
Looking skyward
She took over incubation
Laddie headed off left, out of cam view
17:58 A few soft calls from NC0, possibly because Laddie is sitting above the cam?
