2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Where can I post - where someone is likely to see and be vaguely interested - that I'm taking a break
It's just that I'm tied to the old days when we had the DU and (much missed) MOFFER would even tell us when she took a quick bathroom break because we coveed everything so closely.
IMAGICAT
Sorry I haven't made a ote of the time - unringed (?) intruder flattened itself in the nestcup - from reactions since, the egg is likely to have survived.
I've just scrolled back, Scylla, it was at around 10:04 ish. Hopefully no damage to the egg.
Fantastic defending from both Laddie and NC0 and what a great chase Laddie gave to escort the intruder away! Thank you so much for the vid
From scroll back: 14:19ish, Laddie stood up from incubation duty and began to chip/call. The intruder must have been around (unseen). NC0 flew back to the nest, from the birch (I think) and Laddie flew off over to that area. NC0 resumed incubation.
15:35 A small fish delivery. NC0 took it from Laddie in her beak. She flew off nest with it; Laddie took over incubation

16:44 NC0 to the perch
Laddie exercised his wings (left) as NC0 jumped onto the nest
Laddie flew off
16:58 NC0
The nest is looking very cosy and very much dried out after the overnight rain
17:58 A few minutes after you posted, Patily, Laddie brought NC0 another fish
She took it to the birch to eat
18:21 Laddie incubating
19:18 Laddie onto the nest for an early evening incubation changeover. (NC0 had taken over from Laddie since my last post). Egg on view.
She headed to the birch probably to have a break before beginning her long night shift
