2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

And he's back with a rather awkward stick, which he's trying to lift while standing on it

Quote - "Checks are taking longer than usual to complete but are still running" - video should go live soon.
He's brought in another stick and is now doing one-legged watching.
Where did you go, CRINGER? Did you miss the lad landing? Oh well, I'm packing up now - see you later, I hope
Time to refresh my snapping skills. He's just stood standing

Good morning all, many thanks for all the updates

I notice that Laddie is snapping sticks/twigs from the trees in front of the birch

I came over very tired but feel 'better' now.
This was Laddie with the awkward stick:
I was touring the nests on YouTube on my TV (it's telling me to check my network because the cam is buffering so much, but the other nests are OK)...
Anyway, when I came to LotL I got a shock, thought that Laddie must have had a fight with the EGs - it looks such a mess compared to earlier
Had to revive laptop to check what's gone on, and the fact is - almost nothing, except Laddie brought a small stick and the Mistle Thrush had a hop-about.
The Mistle Thrush unedited:
Strange, the nest looks really messy on TV but not so bad on laptop.
They've been trying to zoom on Laddie's face again but cannot focus really close.
Forgot this one - it happened while I was watching on TV, just a fly-in - but on TV the "peeper" sounded really loud, I've had to do multi-editing on this audio to bring it out:
