2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Good morning all 7:46 EGs on the nest. Lots of honking prior to them arriving!

Edit - They left at 7:49

15 March snippets:
Our lad in the morning:
While he was away, presumably fishing, this corvid stayed on the perch for 7 minutes!
Then this pair of troublemakers, see GEEMEFF's video earlier:

Then there was a Blackbird - I enhanced voices but didn't edit the length:
Then the Mistle Thrush - I don't think it sang much after the intial "scrape" call as it landed, so here's just a snap and I know you'd prefer a full frontal but it wouldn't stand out against the background:
Mid-afternoon, Laddie turned up at last - he brought a small clump which we coudln't see, then stood, then flew off to our right for the last time today after less than 2 minutes:
I couldn't see him on the birch.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Here he is :)))
EDIT - "Just checking"
