2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Sandra P said: Is that a tail end of a fish?
I couldn't resist trying - it might be the leather heel of a gentleman's shoe, you never know what he's going to bring in:

Hahaha! So funny, Scylla

10:29 NC0 to the nest, flapping down from above the cam. She picked up the 'leather heel from a gentleman's shoe'...err, sorry, fish(!) and took it away to the birch
10:46 A glimpse of the eggs before Laddie settled again
Quite possibly, Glider, but NC0 must have returned to the nest at some point, while the cam was down, due to the fish being left on the side of the nest, if indeed it was the same one that Laddie delivered to NC0 late yesterday evening. Unfortunately, I can't remember if Laddie's completed a night shift before, it will be interesting to see if someone else knows. :)
12:26 NC0 landed above the cam giving a short call as she did so
Laddie left the nest at 12:40
NC0 down to the nest and settled to incubate
12:46 Laddie back, both watchful but no alarm calls
