  • Great captures Scylla,,thanks.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  • Oh I did enjoy that,. Thanks Scylla
  • This morning one of the Captiva Bald Eagles strayed into Osprey territory:

Chat dosn't go back far enough to cover the incident - but I did find someone telling someone this!

  • This was the morning get-go - misty, but cleared by the time Lena got back - and they had a l-o-n-g coversation before Andy left:

There was another alarm in the afternoon - I thought I heard voices but forgot to do anything to the sound.

  • Great start to a Saturday morning before a hike. Many thanks for videos Scylla
  • 22 January

Was this the Mullet that I learned to ID at Dyfi?  They get around, if so Stuck out tongue winking eye

And if one hasn't time to watch that short video, here's the fish:

01:41 Lena flew back in with her fish, responding to this potential intruder?  Nothing came of it, she flew off with fish - Andy wasn't concerned:  (When she returned again @ 14:08 the fish was no more.)

    More disturbances thru the afternoon:

    Pelican fishing:

There was a report of a possible "aggregation" of manatees - I saw several suspicious underwater wakes and shadows, but nothing that would be indicative of any creature - to uneducated watchers like most of us are.

Lena is hunkered down protecting her eggs, tonight she has rain to cater for.

  • Wonderful gert great ginormous mullet !! Thanks Scylla
  • I haven't followed Lena & Andy thru the day but noticed another American White Pelican gathering - a bit more "before and after" today.

It was a very pale and wan day and my colour is not true-to-life, in the inerests of visibility.

  • Quite a convocation !! thanks Scylla
  • Captiva Ospreys

Lena is passing undisturbed nights, closely incubating her 3 eggs.

    Today, a sheepshead for lunch:

Unfortunately for us, it was headless - here's why the nickname, in case anyone doesn't know - this was Gabrielle ©AEF, NE Florida Eagles 2 years ago:

Rows of molars upper and lower:
