3.9.21 - LR2 sighted in Southern Spain
25.10.21 - LR2 still in Southern Spain
As the 2021 Osprey season at Loch of the Lowes enters its final stage, it is reassuring to know how very well LR1 and LR2 are faring in the build-up to their first migration. Laddie (LM12) and NC0 (who, it is thought, will soon start her long journey south) are continuing to provide for, and protect, these wonderful (and loud!), young juveniles. Last month, it was fantastic to see the confidence in both LR1 and LR2 when they took to the sky for the first time, as well as watching them practise their spectacular diving skills into the Loch - sights to behold! With only a short number of precious weeks that we have remaining viewing Laddie, NC0 and their family on the webcam, let us hope everything continues to go well.

Good morning Scylla, Patily and all
LR2 paid a 3 minute visit at around 6:47. He was fish calling but also cleaned his beak
He cleaned his beak on a few occasions
When he left, he headed straight to the birch
I wonder if he had kept hold of the fish overnight and finished eating it at first light?

Sandra P said:11:35 Great Tits were on the nest. A Woodpecker popped on (sounded like another was pecking close to the cam) and at one stage it was joined by 4 GTs
I'm in the process of checking yesterday to confirm the absence of fish till so late, when I came upon the little birdies - the GSW popped up a few minutes before the main appearance. I did include lots of vocals with birds unseen but had pity and took most of that out because it went on too long:
.
And no fish till about 18:00
IMAGICAT
LR2 flapped onto the nest from above the cam at 12:45 - still shouting for fish
He's now on the perch
Shoo!
LR2 flew from the nest at 13:27. His flight took him just past the right side of the birch then over to the opposite side of the Loch
Hmmm, getting cosy!
LR2 arrived back to the nest (screeching!!) at 13:50
14:17
A huge, live fish (perch) from Laddie to LR2 at 16:29
He took it off to the birch
