3.9.21 - LR2 sighted in Southern Spain
25.10.21 - LR2 still in Southern Spain
As the 2021 Osprey season at Loch of the Lowes enters its final stage, it is reassuring to know how very well LR1 and LR2 are faring in the build-up to their first migration. Laddie (LM12) and NC0 (who, it is thought, will soon start her long journey south) are continuing to provide for, and protect, these wonderful (and loud!), young juveniles. Last month, it was fantastic to see the confidence in both LR1 and LR2 when they took to the sky for the first time, as well as watching them practise their spectacular diving skills into the Loch - sights to behold! With only a short number of precious weeks that we have remaining viewing Laddie, NC0 and their family on the webcam, let us hope everything continues to go well.
21:33 If it was NC0 on the right branch, she flew and headed past the left side trees. Apologies for the poor snap, it's hard to get a clear pic in the evening light and flights leave a trail

Heehee, I'm obviously slacking but here it is better-late-than-never - it's even had the ID added:
It sure did look tiny when the Raven arrived.
SANDRA, I've got LotL footage here since the 14th, if there's anything you think should be video'd before I delete some please let me know.

Sandra P said:As for LR1, she had flown off from above the cam and headed over to, and then beyond, the birch at around 20:30 last night*
My flyaway isn't very good but here's the "last sighting" as best I can do:
Now I have to check if you've seen Laddie - or if NC0, who's a heroine anyway, has been the sole provider
Except I'm very tired so I'll be back later.
Good morning all, 5:53ish Laddie delivered a live fish. LR2 was prepared to receive it after landing on the nest from above the cam just before
The fish flapped but LR2 kept his eyes on it. He stood on it
It got away to the far left edge of the nest
He picked it up in his beak
A quick check around
He made a swooping flight to the birch
8:09 Cam went offline. It was ENS after LR2 left with his fish up until then

It wasn't going a quick as an Osprey! lol

Many, many thanks for the vids, Scylla, but especially LR1's
Both NC0 and Laddie are still providing for LR2

There were some lovely close up views of LR2 yesterday, 14:30ish and 15:30ish if you'd like to do a vid? He was excited with his fish that NC0 had delivered at the latter time.
