Unknown said:Visited the Dyfi Ospreys today (30 June) and witnessed at least one intruder who nearly landed and then Telyn leaving the nest to chase him/her off. There was a third Osprey close behind the intruder and might have been another intruder or might have been Idris, and then that third bird disappeared against the trees in the background and I lost track of him/her. Unable to check the Dyfi chat at the time to see if the intruder was identified or who the third Osprey was--apologies. Perhaps someone will know.
I'm wondering if we need a new thread - we're not adding much regularly so maybe not.
Kind regards, Ann
Dylan had slept all night on the nest perch with Telyn.

Getting ready to disperse in the morning:
Unknown said:From the wee hours posts on YouTube chat: one notes an intruder at about 9:30 am ringed KA? (possibly Hesgyn, a 2019-hatched Dyfi male, who has intruded in northwest Wales earlier this season) and another poster notes intruder 019 (a 2019 Poole Harbour-fledged female from Scotland). The incident we saw was about 1.40/1.44-ish pm +/- .
The closest view I found of the 09:30 intruder - Telyn was fantastic!
I think we need to wait for a video for the second one.
Telyn was on her way down to take over the fish:
Dylan didn't stay on the perch tonight.
DOP have produced a vid of yesterday's intrusion by 019

Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks Mike. I've deleted the link I posted here but have amended it on the Poole Harbour thread.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
