Continued from Manton Bay – April 2021

The season so far: March 19, Blue 33(11) returned 12:29 closely followed by Maya @ 12:54. On March 30 Egg #1 was laid @ 11:45 , April 2, Egg #2 was seen @ 07:34 and on April 5 Egg #3 was laid @ 07:05 .

10:56 Unseen intruder around as 33 arrives screeching and mantling

33 flies off and the chicks enjoy some air while Maya preens after having been off for her bath

Afternoon All thank you for this mornings updates.
Maya just had dip 33 lovely flight right in front of us for a change!
LAM - hope you are having another good day here. Appears to be windy but at least dry. Thanks for the updates and captures - I wonder if it is 055 hanging around!
Yes no fish on the nest but no doubt 33 will bring one in sometime today.
Meanwhile Maya relaxing at the edge of the nest watching over the chicks who have now got themselves out of the nest cup !!
15.05 further intruder attack 33 gets above it and chases - both buzz the nest very close - sees it off - both birds to right of central poplars - despite all this think he's back with a fish - amazing!
Thanks LAM - hopefully not too long until 33 has had his share and brings it to the nest.
Meanwhile the chicks are sound asleep :-)
