Family outing of the EG- counted 10 chicks here, down from the original 12 seen in April - but still good parenting

LAM - thanks so much for all your reports and pictures over the past few days - super!

You're very welcome Scylla pity weather wasn't a bit better but we're enjoying ourselves non the less when we so close to the Ospreys!

Maya doesn't look as wetas some of the other mums but wind still pretty fierce and the poor thing doesn't look very happy

Agreed Patily but at least they have been well fed to keep their energy reserves up! Pity 33 won't get on the chicks to give her some reprieve!

Nothing much to report Maya fiddling with bedding as she shelters her brood

08:29  Maya feeds the chicks but they don't appear too hungry.  #2 taking some but #1 not interested - perhaps fed earlier?

I've just been scrolling thru thinking I'd like to do a "portrait" but they're so well camouflaged against the nest material, and their faces are so dark - can't be done at this stage.

Good morning all, I’ve just had a quick look at the video and I think they have had a couple of feeds prior to this one. I don’t normally but someone on the YouTube chat boards said one looked weak.

Morning Scylla - yes they are well camouflaged!! I too am finding it hard to get a decent capture of them and it being so dull doesn't help. And of course because of the bad weather of late we have hardly seen the chicks.

This was always one nest that was sunny and the chicks were exposed from early days.

Fingers crossed for dry, sunny weather soon!!
