Continued from Manton Bay – April 2021

The season so far: March 19, Blue 33(11) returned 12:29 closely followed by Maya @ 12:54. On March 30 Egg #1 was laid @ 11:45 , April 2, Egg #2 was seen @ 07:34 and on April 5 Egg #3 was laid @ 07:05 .

it is amazing how much they have grown already in just a few days!
No, nothing yet Patily!
17:32 33 arrives bringing back the fish and Maya rises to give the chicks another top up
close up of the bobs and egg - still no signs of hatching
bobs get a couple of bits each
and within minutes Maya is down, shielding them from the elements
Maya rises and has some fish while the bobs sleep
but soon one smells fish :-)
and the one up two and both get some more fish from Maya
both chicks getting a good feed here
lol Korky but actually I am just looking at the last feed and wondering is that a faint crack appearing in the egg
I need to go for a bit but next view could be interesting !! BBS

Maya now paying more attention to the egg - its up front under her and she is doing a fair bit turning / rocking
