    and pamper yourself

What a very helpful suggestion, PATILY - typically thoughtful of you Blush

Breakfish - but osplet only got 2 bites, I had to remind myself that Maya knows best Wink

  • Morning all, and especially Mary, lovely to see little one getting fed. Astonishing to think in just a few weeks it will be able to deal with a huge fish by itself! So sad about Aila, but looking at this scrap of life helps a bit.
  • Morning ALL and thanks for all the updates, captures and videos.

Korky:   Noticed you posting this morning (I was on my tablet  watching but couldn't post)  and felt for you as you had just missed the bob getting its first feed by a few minutes!!

Scylla:  Thanks for the hatching video and also of the first feed and Geemeff for vids and lovely stills

Mary:  Great to see you posting.  I thought you were off touring the nests so quite a shock to see you've been laid up and of all things - shingles!!  Although I've not had them, I am told is awful.   Wishing you a speedy and full recovery .  Take care x

I expect Rutland will advise later about the hatch.  Interesting to see the official hatching time!

  • Maya is looking particularly lovely this morning

  • 07:16   Maya took a break and nice clear view of the bob

  • 07:20   Maya adjusts, checking the other eggs, and the little bob peeks out.   Its looking really healthy :-)

  • I guess the 'official' hatch time depends on the time the chick is perceived to be totally free of the shell. That has been the criteria in the past. Main thing is there is a healthy looking bob!
  • Thanks Mike and agree - a healthy bob is the main thing!
