March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

IMAGICAT
Around 17:00 Aran flew in with a stick and a single alarmy chirp - he stayed 2 minutes and flew off, and that was the last time I found anyone up to nightcam.
What a sight to behold...Aran with a huge, self-caught fish on the perch (around 19:00)

20:06 Over an hour later, he's still on the perch with what is left of the fish. Mrs G is not around at present
He's so photogenic, Cirrus
It's mine, I caught it and I am not giving it away to Mrs G.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Panicky scroll-thru under way here
Nuthatch again?
MrsG thought breakfish was on the way but Aran arrived with nest material instead:
MrsG stayed on the nest and perch for hours:
But she had to stay alert - never saw what for, it might have been corvids. Aran was way out on one of his trees.
She eventually left the nest around 13:00.
About 25 minutes after Aran flew from his distant tree he arrived on the perch with his spotty fish - did anyone say what it was?
Oh what portrait opportunities Aran gave us that have had to be eschewed for the sake of not being here all night
Here, he was anticipating MrsG's arrival with her huge, half-eaten fish (where'd she been?) - I made time for this because it's a bit different:
He celebrated ;)
Aran soon flew but we couldn't see his fish, he was a complete blur.
MrsG has stayed on the perch with her fish, the current view is not friendly, with the end of the perch interfering, so here she was earlier:
