March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

28 October
There's just been a nice view of a sheep stalking a stork (it's a Heron, of course, but one word led to another, you'll understand )
Please would we all remember to Like the LIVE STREAM. (Me having just noticed I haven't done the latest one.)
I'll be scrolling thru the day later, am packing up for a while now.
28 October - as promised but I wish I hadn't. Missable!
I always 'like' the videos on YouTube Scylla -and thank you for this one too. I enjoyed all the wildlife on the drowned fields and the huddle of cows and nearly drowned bridge. And even enjoyed the triangular 'UFO' in the top right hand corner anourd 3.05 mins although I thought it was only the US military that had those not UK military. They can ''defy'' gravity can't they ..... just a 'trick' with magnetism of course but it sure looks good. Oh and the beautiful jackdaw. Just look at all the colours in its feathers. - beautiful. Thanks so much Scylla
Although, I thought the heron was a little on the dippy side considering swallowing a sheep whole.!!!!!! Glad it thought better of it
Looks like I missed out the 29th, what was I thinking?!
30 October - as per title "well 'n truly flooded":
Apparently there's been a tragedy in Pembrokeshire involving paddle-boarders who got caught out by a sudden downpour which caused a river to become treacherous - I was struck by the first time I've ever seen this in print, apart from when MIKE explained it to me:
"Rescuers have been seen searching an area near The Bristol Trader public house in inflatable ribs."
MC. Just grabbed this capture for you.
The Nuthatch has wedged a seed in the crevice and is taking it from there.

Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks, MIKE! Nice to see a zoom, there weren't any yesterday. I shall no doubt give that one a boost later on
Heatther seems to be expecting more rain, meanwhile the river remains high. Three heron, a swan and a few ducks.
and back to the bridge
