March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

Well spotted GB/Ann, and thank you Scylla. I did not have the pleasure of meeting John Parry Williams, but he clearly was much loved by all those connected with ospreys and particularly Glaslyn and Dyfi. Knowing his background, your video brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.
I am afraid the weather is crying today too. Windy, low cloud and rain.
The water is flowing fast toward 'us', so I guess the tide is going out.

Mike B said:MC. All the Swans take off around 0920.
I didn't follow them into the distance, Mike - am allergic to cam-jerks, and besides, I've really got the hump today re no timeline, brought on by searching for reported owl calls after dark.
MC the Mandarin ducks are about again. Close up at 1336 views started around 1245.

Heather says there are three pairs there and seconds after I got this there were three pairs in view.

I don't know if I've got three pairs but a nice single:
Whatever was this? Looks a bit like an umbrella or an upturned boat:
