So at last we hear something of the 2021 translocation.

Very unusual for it to appear in the link magazine and no-where else.
Its in all of the local links by the look of it.

BofPH put regular updates in these local magazines.

I expect it will appear on BofPH sites over next day or 2.

No, Cirrus - I think (hope) I'd have seen him.  There's been no nest activity since the last flurry reported in this thread.

I haven't seen the Nightjar for a couple of nights either, but have sped thru rather fast so could have missed it/them.

It wasn't very good Nightjar weather last night, strong winds with rain and its a very exposed perch.

Thanks, Alison. The early publication of the article must be rather frustrating for BoPH folk who I had presumed were doing their best to carry out another year of translocating Ospreys. Who first said "These things are sent to try us"?! At any rate, fingers crossed that all has been going well for the project in spite of the usual concerns in doing such a thing, and with the added ongoing issues due to the pandemic. As for further announcements, all in good time, as they say, and we will just have to wait!

Last night the spider had made a full web by 00:30, but I don't think the Nightjar appeared behind it at all.

This morning, however - a little bird

I do hope RICHARD is around to tell me off for not recognising/remembering it

Looks like a Spotted Flycatcher, but it could be a Wood Lark though doesnt look much like one.
It would be nice to have a sharper picture.
