HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH!
February 1 is Imbolc (or Imbolg), the old Gaelic festival marking the coming of spring and traditionally celebrated throughout Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man. It falls about halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. We're almost to the time of warmer weather (cooler weather for you, AQ)! Yay! I'm so hoping for an early spring, so we'll only have about 4 or 5 more weeks of the cold. I hope everyone has an easy week!

Once again, thank you ALL for your support & encouragement. January seems to have been the longest month ever. Now my calendar is empty for next 2 weeks (except a fruit & veg shop someday whenever). Zap Doc warned I would be feeling worse in a week’s time. So excited by that news (not). I told OH this morn that I was “just tired” rather than “too tired to know what to do with myself” as I felt last night. I have woken from 2 hour post-lunch nap and plan nothing but lolling on lounge for rest of day.
Just a thought
When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other. (Chinese proverb)
Good Morning and happy Wednesday! No rain out of the window, unlike yesterday when we had drizzle on and off. I hope to walk around the block to get a bit of exercise, I feel really stodgy. AQ -- Pleased to hear that you intend to rest, as prescribed by us all. Hope your strength returns in a few days.
OG - Hope things go better today.
All of the hyacinths are open now, and smell divine. Taken during a spell of sunshine first thing yesterday.
Quiet on here today. I walked into the town for our nearest shop for milk and bread, then strolled back, looking for for spring bulbs. I found some snowdrops on a piece of rough ground by the main road:
